The webinar theme was conceived as a deep dive to extract the invisible barriers that preclude the minds of millennials in consideration for getting a footprint in the industry.

Among millennials in Malaysia, the industry is seemingly having little allure for them in seeking out a go-to job. The palm oil industry, for them, is seen to be stigmatized, from upstream to midstream to downstream. This stems from misconception, built upon adverse publicity.

From unpalatable labels over 3D (dirty, difficult, and dangerous) jobs, to calling out on industry pain points, palm oil is an industry with an ostensibly negative rub-off. To address and bring to fore the actual dimension, a panel was assembled, of eminent personalities from areas of planter, business and academia to provide views, opinions and assessments.
